db 05 - NUIT NOIRE / CALL
ME LORETTA : Split single (7 inch)
A genuine culture shock.
Why is it a culture shock?
Because this 7' epitomizes the encounter between two open-minded bands
that do not wear blinkers. Call Me Loretta plays noisy indie music while
Nuit Noire plays black metal (although we think there is an old-school
punk aspect to their music, fans will tell you, it's black metal). How
did they meet?
They regularly attended each other's concerts. That's how they met.
Except the unlikely encounter, is there anything special to this 7'?
It's only 500 copies. Sides are switched because Czech Republic loves
us and printing errors. Fortunately, they did not mess with the 33 revolutions
per minute we required. Why is it red?
Because it couldn't be any other colour than red like dry blood. Don't
ask if bands shared some blood. You can hear the word 'vampire' on a Call
Me Loretta song though. What can you say about the songs?
4 unreleased nightmares.
CALL ME LORETTA
'Each Dawn I die'
'Smart Heart'
NUIT NOIRE
'In the Very Old Forest'
'Moonbath'
PS: The Call Me Loretta song entitled 'Each Dawn I Die' is not a Manowar
cover.
