Songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Andrew Gleason in
an emerging talent worthy of a shot at great exposure... Gleason wears
his influences on his sleeves at times, but with his ability to write
originally and convincingly in a variety of styles, he certainly has the
potential to develop a very interesting musical hybrid. At only 18, he's
got time on his side. Add that to a world of natural musical ability -
he played all the instruments on his demos - and you have a songwriter
poised for big things. Definitely one to watch.

With placid strumming and a melody reminiscent of S&G's "Homeward
Bound", songwriter Andrew Gleason's languid, psychadellic narrative
shimmers and meanders from "candy girls" to "moving picture
trees" before focusing on the song's catalyst. Unfortunately, shhe
doesn't seem to notice. "There she goes... off to boys with pretty
smiles, shiny shirts, things to buy." A very eloquent way of saying
that sometimes even musicians don't get the chicks.

Biography:
After bouncing around Europe playing everywhere from coffee shops to bars to street corners and releasing a few self-produced albums and a 7" on Popart records (Greece),Boston-native Andrew Gleason, brains behind THE TEMPORARY THING, has returned to the U.S. and formed a five-man version of the band. Now playing around Los Angeles area, THE TEMPORARY THING is connected with a slew of news fans. With traditional chord progressions, clever lyrics, strong melodies, inluences including Donovan, Belle and Sebastian, Bob Dylan, and CCR, THE TEMPORARY THING has built up a strong following in Los Angeles. Furthermore THE TEMPORARY THING has been featured on radio programs in Germany, France, Greece, the U.S., and Canada.
