The Nova Express a été formé fin 2001 à Toulouse par Sébastien Duclos (guitare, chant) et Joel Vionnet (guitare, chant), rejoints début 2002 par Matthieu Larroque (batterie) puis Vincent Cuellar (basse).

Un an plus tard le groupe enregistre son premier ep éponyme, sur lequel figurent quatre chansons, deux composées par Joel ("I Won Plehdeen" & "Bones & Silence"), deux composées par Sébastien ("Unsolved Death" & "Sherilyn").
Des influences communes permettent aux compositions de l'un et de l'autre d'élargir les horizons du groupe tout en gardant une certaine cohésion. Le ep présente un groupe sombre, tenant de l'indie-rock americain, jouant une musique urgente et empoisonnée.

Après une vingtaine de concerts le groupe a joué en première partie d'Interpol (USA), Calla (USA), British Sea Power (GB), Soledad Brothers (USA), B. Balthazar (USA), Pedro The Lion (USA) et Random Number (GB)

THE NOVA EXPRESS

The Nova Express was created in the end of 2001 in Toulouse (France) by Sébastien Duclos (guitar, vocals) and Joel Vionnet (guitar, vocals), Matthieu Larroque (drums) and Vincent Cuellar (bass guitar) joined the band shortly after and by the beginning of 2002 the band had already started to play concerts.

A year after, the band recorded its debut ep, which features four songs, two written by Joel ("I Won Plehdeen" & "Bones & Silence") and two written by Sébastien ("Unsolved Death" & "Sherilyn"). The two songwriters share common influences and this duality reinforces the band as it broadens its musical landscape without ever losing cohesion. The ep shows a dark band, proud to wave the indie flag, playing an urgent, poisonous music.

After more than twenty shows the band has opened for Interpol (USA), Calla (USA), British Sea Power (UK) Soledad Brothers (USA), B. Balthazar (USA), Pedro The Lion (USA) and Random Number (UK)

The Nova Express fue creada en finales de 2001 en Toulouse (Francia) por Sébastien Duclos (guitarra, los vocals) y Joel Vionnet (guitarra, los vocals), Matthieu Larroque (tambores) y Vincent Cuellar (guitarra baja) ensambló la venda poco después y por el principio de 2002 que la venda había comenzado ya a jugar conciertos.

Un año después de, la venda registró a su ep del principio, que ofrece cuatro canciones, dos escritos por Joel ("gané Plehdeen "y los" huesos y silencio") y dos escritos por Sébastien ("muerte sin resolver "y" Sherilyn"). Los dos songwriters comparten influencias comunes y esta dualidad refuerza la venda mientras que ensancha su paisaje musical sin la cohesión siempre perdidosa. El ep demuestra una venda oscura, orgullosa agitar la bandera del indie, jugando una música urgente, venenosa.

Después de que más de veinte demostraciones la venda se hayan abierto para Interpol (USA), Calla (USA), British Sea Power (UK)Soledad Brothers (USA), B. Balthazar (USA), Pedro The Lion (USA) y Random Number (UK)
